So it was an assingment, but i kinda liked it, not bad for ten minutes work..

Imbolc
As our winter has lost its hold,
We are promised a break from this cold.

Watch the bears return from their sleep,
As wolves choose their mates to forever keep.

We know it is time as we gather around the hearth fire,
Gather the grains and the jerky soon to expire.

Tomorrow is the 2nd of February, and we must prepare,
We have the house to clean and the charms to make; it will be a busy affair.

Grab the Willow, Oak, Red Clover, and Dill,
Make the sacred inks and borrow the quill.

Children will make a Brigit's bed for their corn dolly,
I will make the Crown of Lights with Evergreens and Holly.

Then add a bit of silver garland, and red and white candles.
Time to fix the basket with the broken handles.

Fill it with the rosemary and the extra dairy,
We shall take it to the crossroads to share with our guardian fairy.

It's almost done winters gloom has been ended,
Our earth will returned beautiful, green, and mended.

To Demeter's delight Persephone has been returned,
We have cleansed and thanked Gaia this ritual is adjourned.

This is how we celebrate the Imbolc celebration,
With light, fire, love, and libation.
